Heidi Trimmel holds a doctorate in meteorology as a diploma in landscape planning and has spent nearly two decades researching the boundaries between urban systems and the atmosphere — heat islands, drought, biogenic emissions, the subtle ways cities breathe. Alongside this scientific work, she has quietly built a second body of practice: watercolours, philosophical texts, sound art, site-specific installations, and haiku. Systemic thinking holds the capacity to integrate these two worlds — to trace hidden connections, follow relations rather than facts, and stay with complexity without resolving it too soon. Both paths circle the same question — our relationship with nature - around and within us. Her writing and art, documented at ybermorgen.org, emerge from the space where measurement and computational modelling end and something else begins.
